Dark chocolate, light smoke, syrupy, smooth, low acid
GAIL'S DEATH RAMP is our well-executed “dark” roast.
The name isn't meant to be macabre. It's inspired by Gail Goodman, past-CEO and Founder of Constant Contact.
Gail's now-iconic Business of Software Conference 2012 keynote "How to negotiate the Long, Slow, SaaS Ramp of Death" inspired the name of this smoky, smooth dark roast.
Not as dark as an Italian roast, but definitely above a City roast. This dark roast is full of cocoa, dark cherry, and a hint of smoke. A wonderful coffee with milk and sugar or straight black. Never bitter, low acid, and always smooth with a big body. If dark roasts are your thing, do check out GAIL'S DEATH RAMP.
Dark roast, with notes of dark chocolate, light smoke, syrupy. Washed, wet hulled-process, whole bean, freshly roasted coffee.
Here's what startup founder Brian Casel has to say about this roast:
