This bright and amazing ROB'S TINY BEACH TOWEL roast is a unique micro-lot coffee that comes from Finca La Bendicion in Guatemala.
85 years ago Vicente Gomez and his wife Maria Reyes purchased a plot of land in the village of Sanguayaba, Palencia. This 42-hectare property produces both washed and natural processed coffees. We offer their washed coffee, because of its crisp, clean flavor.
Many years later Vicente and Maria’s son Jose Gomez inherited the farm and began planting potatoes and corn. Dairy cattle were also raised on the land, but it was short-lived as many of the animals fell to their death on the steep hills.
In 1997 Jose Gomez rebranded the land and began growing coffee. He called it Finca La Bendicion. Today he works with his son Jose and they are experimenting with new varieties, in addition to building their own wet mill with African Beds for drying.
This is a washed whole bean coffee.
This coffee is named as a fun tribute to Rob Walling. Rob is a serial entrepreneur who’s built and sold several startups, most recently & notably: Drip.
Rob is the host of Startups For the Rest Of Us, a podcast for independent startup founders, and a host of MicroConf, a conference and online community for non-venture track SaaS founders.
Rob has been helping independently-funded startup founders since 2005 and now runs the first startup accelerator for SaaS bootstrappers, called TinySeed.
TinySeed is a year-long, remote accelerator that provides funding, mentorship, and community for early-stage SaaS startup founders.
Rob Walling has built 7+ businesses to six- or seven-figures in revenue without taking outside funding. One of Rob's earliest businesses sold beach towels online (hence the Beach Towel reference in the name).
